Translations

Because the Papal Zouaves were a multi-national unit. There are numerous works written in multiple languages. For example, a memoir written by a Papal Zouave in his native language, usually didn't get translated. To help preserve and promote the stories of the Papal Zouaves, P.Z.I seeks to translate these works into the modern day Lingua Franca, which is English. There are over 1.35 Billion English speakers in the world, translating works into English therefore, has the potential to reach hundreds of millions more people than if the works remained in their native language.

Here are few examples of languages P.Z.I is seeking to translate

  • French

  • French Canadian

  • Dutch

  • Italian

  • Polish

  • Portuguese

  • Spanish

If you have experience in translating any of these languages into English please, send an email to PapalZouaveHistory@gmail.com. There will be compensation for published works.

Upcoming Book:
Heroes
of the 9th Crusade

Stories of the Papal Zouaves
Volume: 1

Are you a descendent of a Papal Zouave? Or have you written extensively about a particular Papal Zouave?

P.Z.I is seeking collaborators for it's upcoming book Heroes of the 9th Crusade: Stories of the Papal Zouaves Volume 1. The book will be a compendium of the lives of 10-15 Papal Zouaves, with the potential for further volumes in the future. Individuals with extensive knowledge on a particular Papal Zouave, such as family member or researcher will write a 10-30 page summary of his life. The story will then be added to the book so his sacrifice and memory may be preserved. This is the perfect opportunity for Papal Zouaves who's lives may not fill an entire biography, yet who nonetheless, deserve to have their story told.

If you are interested in volunteering for this work, please send an email to PapalZouaveHistory@gmail.com.
